FMPS celebrates Janmashtami
A function was organised at First Mark Public School on the occasion of Krishna janmashtami to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna. The celebration comprised of performance by the tiny tots like dances and enactments. A fancy dress competition was organised for the children of play group to LKG where girls dressed up as Radha and boys dressed up as Lord Krishna. Director of the school, Kalpana Soren said that life of Lord Krishna and his teachings to mankind marked the world. She appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers to make the programme a success. A Dahi handi competition was also organized for the students. Administrator of the school, Pramod Kumar said that festivals of different cultures are celebrated at the school so that the children can learn about the various cultures and traditions of India.
Janmashtami at BIT, Mesra
The Rotaract Club of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra organised a 'Matki Phod' competition on the occasion of Janmashtami on August 24. The members of the organising club set the stage on fire with a spectacular dance performance. There were a total of 16 participating teams, each with a minimum of 10, and a maximum of 15 members. After a neck-to-neck competition, the 'Soul' team emerged victorious. The spectators grooved to the beats of enlivening bollywood songs that was played. The Gokulashtami competition finally drew to a close with the competitors and audience dancing joyously to the tunes of the live DJ.
B4U launches new channel
B4U Network recently launched B4U Kadak as its premium offering in the Hindi Movie Genre & B4U Bhojpuri in the Bhojpuri Movie Genre. Now in a spectacular feat, both the newly launched channels, B4U Kadak and B4U Bhojpuri, along with B4U Music, have been rated No. 1 in their respective genres as per the BARC report of Week 32. Considering that B4U Kadak and B4U Bhojpuri were launched in May this year, the achievement becomes even more significant. B4U Kadak is a Hindi Movie Channel targeted at Urban and Rural audiences in the HSM market with a bank of popular Bollywood & South Indian dubbed movies with a promise to offer 101 World Television Premieres.
