IGRMS to hold special painting exhibition

Bhopal: On the occasion of 59 Birth Anniversary of famous painting artist and Former Asst. Curator of IGRMS, Late Anand Tahenguria, Indira Gandhi Rashitrya Manav Sangrahalya, Bhopal, is organising a special painting exhibitions of rare paintings of Late Anand Tahenguria. This exhibition will begin on Monday at Rock Art Heritage Exhibition hall. About this exhibition, Shikha Tahenguria told that, Late Anand Tahenguria was born on August 19, 1960 at Khairagarh (CG). Anand trained them to promote their art forms, motivated and highlighted their art artistic talent. He was worked as Asst. Curator in Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya and was closely associated with folk and tribal artists of the country. Late Anand Tahenguria passed away on December 23, 2017. On this occasion, the art lovers will discuss about their personality and contribution them.

Mini marathon organised by MCTE

Mhow: To promote the spirit of unity & nationalism, The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) conducted a ‘Mini Marathon’ and ‘Run for Fun’ at Mhow Cantonment on Saturday as a part of Independence Day Celebrations. A total of 842 Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, Other Ranks, Defense Civil Employees, their families and children participated with utmost zest and zeal. The ‘Mini Marathon’ was conducted for 18 years above of men. The ‘Run for Fun’ for ladies was conducted for 18 years and above. Children also actively participated in the ‘Run for Fun’. The ‘Mini Marathon’ was flagged off by Maj Gen C Mani, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor MCTE. While the ‘Run for Fun’ was flagged off by Jayanthi Mani, Vice Chairperson, FWO, MCTE. The event was keenly contested and the participants put their best to reach the finish lines. While running shoulder to shoulder, they spread the message of ‘National Unity’. The enthusiastic participation by all in the Mini Marathon and Run for Fun showcased the commitment of Indian Army in upholding the unity of the Country as a part of auspicious occasion of 73 rd ‘Independence Day’.

Plantation drive held by MCTE

Mhow: In continuation of the ongoing celebrations of ‘Independence Day’ a plantation drive was carried out in Military College of Telecommunication Engineering as part of ‘Kshramdan’ on Saturday under the theme ‘Save Earth, Save Life, Save Environment’ to give impetus to ‘Clean MCTE, Green MCTE’. A total of 940 saplings of ornamental and fruit bearing trees were planted in the campus. Officers, JCOs, OR and families of the College participated in the event. Lt Gen Milind N Bhurke, VSM, Comdt MCTE and Mrs Geetanjali Bhurke, President AWWA, MCTE also planted a sapling each to support the noble cause.
