IWCS installs pad vending machine

Inner Wheel Club of Swarnrekha, Ranchi today installed a sanitary pad vending machine at Government Girls’ High School, Bariatu. The machine was donated by club president Devyani Sanyal. Padman of Jharkhand Mangesh Jha was called on the occasion for clearing doubts of the students regarding menstrual cycle. Around 250 students took part in the programme and came to know about clean and healthy practices during menstrual cycle. A Rs 5 coin dispenses sanitary pad from the machine. IPP Deepa Chuahan, Editor Sandhya Prakash, neeta Narayan, mala Shrivastav, Priya Rai andother members were present on the occasion.  

Teachers’ day at Centre for Education

Teachers’ day was celebrated at ‘Centre for education’ at Kanke branch. Students gave speech in respect of the teachers. Director Sumeet kumar and Centre head Awesh Sinha were present. Aman, Ravi and other students were present on the occasion.

Workshop Cyber Safety at SBPS

A workshop on overview of Python and Cyber safety was organized for the teachers on Saturday on the premises of Sarala Birla Public School. The teachers were guided how to protect their important data. The resource person said that we all need to be vigilant about protecting data while accessing online banking services, shopping etc. Teachers were also given important information regarding Python and made aware of the use and benefits of open source software. School Head Personnel & Admin Pradip Varma said that such workshops help us to know the ways to protect our important information from being hacked.

BoI celebrates 114th Establishment Day

India’s one of the oldest financial institution Bank of India celebrates its 114th establishment day on Saturday in leadership of Zonal Manager of Bank of India, Ranchi Zone Tejeshwar Patnaik, Deputy Zonal Manager, Umesh Kumar Rath and Deputy Zonal Manager, Anil Kumar Jha. On the occasion the bank felicitated Komalika Bary for her Gold Medal winning performance at World Archery Competition in 2019 and Lakshmi Hembram for her outstanding performance in the field of Archery. The bank also felicitated Bari’s and Hembram’s coaches Dharmendra Tiwai and Anil Kumar on the occasion.

VIBES at BIT, Mesra

Hosted by the Department of Architecture, BIT Mesra, the event ‘VIBES’ commenced here on Saturday. The event was supported by the Students Society of Architecture (SSA), BIT Mesra and the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA). Dr. Smriti Mishra invited the keynote speaker of the day and the principal Architect of Sanjay Puri Architects,  Sanjay Puri on the stage. Puri has been a speaker and a judge at numerous international architecture events including the Leading European Architects Forum, The World Architecture Festival &   the Perspective PLAN events held in London, Amsterdam, Bologna, Milan, Venice, Barcelona, Singapore, Berlin & Belgrade. The Head of the Department of Architecture, Dr. Satyaki Sarkar presented a bouquet and welcomed him. The celebrated architect then elaborated on his projects in front of the audience. He explained the logic and design methodology of each of his renowned works as well as upcoming ones. His works varied from the ‘Street’ at Alibaug to ‘Ishatvam 9’ in Ranchi.
