Baleswar: Acting on the complaints of accumulation of assets disproportionate to his income by Balasore Drainage Division Executive Engineer Basant Panda, vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted raids on his residence at the Jail Road and in-laws’ and ancestral houses  at Amarda Road here. The team detected assets, including cash, deposits, jewelleries and other valuable items, worth lakhs of rupees, said sources.

KiiT Int’l School chairperson gets global honour

Bhubaneswar: KiiT International School, Bhubaneswar chairperson Dr Mona Lisa Bal has been honoured by the NRI Welfare Society (UK Chapter). She received the Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award from the NRI Welfare Society in the House of Commons in London for her contribution in the field of education.
