Independence Day celebrated at CCL with enthusiasm

Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Central Coalfields limited (CCL) Gopal Singh hoisted the national flag to mark the 73rd Independence Day at Mahatma Gandhi Krindangan, Gandhinagar, Ranchi on Thursday. He also extended warm greetings and best wishes on the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan to the stakeholders including employees.

Director (Personnel) R S Mahapatro, Director(tech/Oprns) V K Srivastava, Director(P&P) Bhola Singh, Director(Fin) NK Agarwal, Chief Vigilance Officer A K Srivastava, DIG CISF S S Mishra along with General Managers and HODs from CCL headquarters, doctors, representatives of trade union, retired employees and other stakeholders were present to grace the occasion. Pramila Singh, spouse of CMD & president of ArpitaMahila Club, Sunita Mahapatro, Archana Srivastav, Namita Agrawal and other stakeholder including representative of trade unions too were present.

During the address, the CMD recalled the sacrifice of freedom fighters and common publics, who sacrificed their lives for India's freedom. In his address, Singh talked about the development of the country with focus on villagers and prosperity of each Indians. He said that various centrally-sponsored schemes as well as state sponsored schemes are aimed to bring prosperity among the deprived. CMD talked about government's motto of 'Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sabka Viswas' is not just a call for economic inclusion but is also a celebration of our diversity, the creed for social harmony and a commitment to individual liberties and rights. Singh announced various welfare schemes of CCL under its “Kayakalp Yojana” which are aimed to transform the lives of villagers, who are staying in Jharkhand.

Earlier, the CMD inspected the parade consisting of CCL security personnel, CISF Jawans, Army Band, students of JSSPS, DAV Gandhinagar, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rajendra Nagar and Gyanodaya School.  Tricolor balloons were released by CMD and other dignitaries. Various cultural programmes were performed by schools students as well as sports cadets of JSSPS to mark 73rd years of Independence Day.  Gopal Singh felicitated security personnel. Tri-colour was also hoisted at Area level and other establishments of company.

CMD CCL also hoisted a flag at Kayakalp Public School, Bukru. Pramila Singh and others were present to grace the occasion.

Earlier, Director (Personnel) R S Mahapatro hoisted a tri-colour at CCL Headquarters as well as at Gandhinagar Central Hospital and addressed the gathering. Mahapatro also felicitated the employees of hospital for their outstanding works.
