The music lovers of the city witnessed a rapacious evening of Indo western rhythms on Tabla here on Friday.
A cultural programme ‘Taal Tarang’ was organized at Regional Science Centre. Organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) the programme was held under the Horizon series of cultural programmes at 6:30 pm.
A young Tabla player Anshul Pratap Singh along with his troupe presented the Indo Western fusion before the music lovers of the city.
He began playing the base theme of fusion. Later, they played Ragas of cloud, rain and thunder beautifully.
Later, the tabla recital by Anshul fascinated the audience. He performed the Hindustani Classical Ragaas. He then played few compositions of Ustad Allah Rakha as a tribute to him.
His highly versatile and aesthetic perception of the tabla has enabled him to touch most profound depths of his instrument. The purity of style, uniqueness of imagination with brilliant technique made his recitals enchanting. The young artiste is now well known for mesmerising and captivating his audience with his power, virtuosity and complete spontaneity. His tabla recital left the audience spell bind at the Hall.
Then the other artists also gave solo performances. Also a jugalbandi of all the instruments was also performed.
The innovation they bring into their compositions makes them different from others young composers. As they began playing the tunes of the musical instruments, the audiences were awestruck to witness the programme. They wonderfully blended classical tune into the enchanting rhythms which was loved by the audience. Tunefulness, tonality, rhythmic patterns and raagdari altogether made the performance by the artists highly appealing.
The programme was a mass treat for the classical music lovers of the city as they witnessed young classical maestros together at one stage.
