Inner Wheel Club Zest spread awareness on breast cancer by organising sreening camp at Dharamchand Mansion on Monday.
A total of 30 women participated in the screening camp that was organised as part of the International Women’s Day.
“Our aim was to highlight the importance of screening to breastfeeding which can bring both the health and welfare of babies, as well as a wider push for maternal health, focusing on good nutrition, poverty reduction and food security,” said immediate past president Navneet Kaur. She spread awareness amongst new mothers about the benefits of breast feeding for the newborn and for the mothers.
Kits comprising sanitary napkins, Horlicks and supplement tablets were distributed amongst the mothers and women.
Club president Nisha Gadia, secretary Reema Adesara, treasurer Nikita Mehta, and editor Preeti Khara were present on the occasion.
