In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the inspectors and the sub- inspectors posted at one place for a long time would be transferred in a week.
The director general of police (DGP), Anil Kumar Raturi held a video conferencing session with all the senior police officers of the state at police headquarters on Friday. During the session, he emphasised that the police forces would be used judiciously during the Lok Sabha election.
The DGP directed the district in -charges of police to thoroughly grasp the guidelines of the election commission and ensure their proper implementation. He added that an election cell in every district would be constituted.
The DGP also directed the officers to assess vulnerability of the sensitive and the hyper -sensitive polling stations.
He also said that the proper staying arrangements for the personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CASF), home guards and PAC would be made.
The meeting was attended among others by the additional director general (ADG) administration, intelligence V Vinay Kumar, inspector general (IG) law and order Deepam Seth, IG Headquarter G S Martolia, I G Garhwal Ajay Rautela and IG Traffic, Kewal Khurana.
