A free camp for checking the eyes was organised by the Dehradun division of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India at Government Junior High School Ajabpur Kalan on Friday. The event was part of the ongoing Insurance week being organised to commemorate 63rd anniversary of the LIC.
The camp was organised with the support of eye specialist Dr Abhishek Singh Rana, and technicians Ankit Dangwal and Priyanka Dhyani.
In the camp, children were also informed about the precautions and diet necessary for the protection and care of their eyes.
The Marketing Manager (MM) of the corporation Mahesh Chand Verma said that on the last day of Insurance week on September 7, a free medical health check camp for retired and serving
employees and officers of the corporation would be organised .
In the closing ceremony, the winners of painting competition of school children held during insurance week will also be rewarded.
