Intense cold conditions prevailed in the early morning hours and during the night, as steep decrease has been recorded in the night temperatures in the past two days. State capital recorded night temperature at 6.4 degree Celsius.
Morning was with cold conditions in the state capital while cold winds prevailed throughout the day making the weather conditions bearable. State capital recorded 23.4 degree Celsius as day temperature and 6.4 degree Celsius as night temperature.
Shahdol division recorded steep decrease in night temperatures while Rewa, Jabalpur and Gwalior division recorded significant decrease in the night temperatures.
Met department has issued warning of cold wave conditions and cold day conditions. Indore, Ujjain, Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar and Hoshangabad divisions are likely to witness cold wave conditions while Jabalpur, Sagar and Indore divisions are likely to witness cold day conditions.
Lowest night temperature was recorded in Khajuraho at 3 degree Celsius.
On Sunday across the state change in the weather conditions were witnessed. Malajkhand, Seoni, Indore witnessed intense cold day conditions while Jabalpur, Nowgong, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Bhopal, Rajgarh, Shajapur and Sheopur witnessed cold day conditions.
Khajuraho, Betul, Dhar, Ratlam witnesses intense cold wave condition while Rewa, Umaria, Jabalpur, Malajkhand, Seoni, Nowgong, Sagar, Damoh, Bhopal, Rajgarh, and Shajapur witnessed cold wave conditions.
The cold conditions in eastern part of the state which remained normal as compare to western part of the state were witnessed with lower night temperatures and difference decreased in the two regions.
The dip in the temperatures in the state capital which witnessed significant change after rainfall continued. Weathermen told abruptness in the weather condition would continue for the next 1-2 days. Several parts recorded night temperature round 5 degree Celsius.
