Under the Intensive Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0, an immunisation campaign would be organised from December 2019 to March 2020 in district Mewat and Palwal, for the complete immunization of the new-borns and children up to the age group of 5 years.
A meeting in this regard was held under the Chairmanship of Mission Director, National Health Mission, Haryana, Amneet P Kumar, here in which officials of health, Education and various other department attended the meeting.
Kumar said this is a special campaign of the Central Government, which will be run during all working days. Under this, 90 percent children of both the districts of the state will be immunized so that they can be protected from deadly 7 types of diseases. She further said that for this, the Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, ANM and other health workers have been directed to prepare a list of children in their areas so that no child is left in these districts.
The mission director said that three doses of Pentavalent vaccine and two doses of measles-rubella vaccine will be given to the children. She said that a Inter-Ministerial Committee at the national level has been constituted by the Union Government, which will ensure coordination among various ministries and departments.
Amneet P. Kumar said that all the departments concerned have been asked to promote IEC activities at the state level and district level and to ensure the success of the Intensive Mission Indradhanush (IMI) campaign through social mobility. This campaign can be done especially for the distribution of vaccination services in the urban areas.
