Inter-State burglars’ gang busted, three arrested in Dwarka

With the arrest of three members of an inter-State gang the Delhi police have claimed to bust a gang involved in several cases of burglaries in Dwarka and West district of national Capital.

The trio accused was identified as Shahzad (22), Lalit (27) and Hardayal (42).  Police said, most of the cases of burglary were committed in the locked houses of the area.

“Following a tip of a team was constituted and raids were conducted in Nangloi area and accused Shahzad was apprehended along with the stolen articles,” said Dr G Ram Gopal Naik.

“He disclosed that Hardayal is the receiver of stolen property.

Following which he ws also arrested and further on the instance of Hardayal another receiver namely Lalit was also arrested. Trio accused were found to be involved in multiple cases of house burglary,” said DCP.

Shahzad who hails from Gorakhpur is a graduate from Delhi University. In 2015 he was arrested in 15 cases of motor vehicle thefts in Delhi. After that, he was again arrested by UP Police in motor vehicle theft cases.

While Hardayal is a native of Ambala and used to work as a scrap dealer.  He is receiver of the stolen articles and he used to sell the stolen articles through Lalit.
