Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP’s) national vice president and Delhi BJP incharge Shyam Jaju said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has lost her balance. Jaju’s remark on Bengal CM came a day after vandalizing the statue of social reformer Ishwar Chand Vidhyasagar in Kolkata.
Attacking on Trinmool Congress party and terming TMC workers as goons, Jaju said, “They tried to defame the roadshow of BJP’s national president Amit Shah.” Citing Kolkata violence, Jaju said that it is the basic right of every person and party to participate and hold roadshow, rally, campaign for elections.
“In spite of the permission for the rally of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath in North Kolkata Phool Baghan, the anti-social elements of TMC assaulted the workers engaged in the construction of stage and also destroyed the stage,” said Jaju.
On Wednesday, BJP leaders and supporters attended a silent protest against the disturbance caused during Kolkata election campaign rally by the party president Amit Shah, in New Delhi. Lauding the Election Commission (EC’s) order to cancel the campaign in West Bengal for the last phase of election, Jaju said , “EC ordered to cancel the rally and road show due to emerging violence in the region,” said Jaju.
