Jawahar Bal Bhavan holds Dandiya training workshop

The tiny tots of the city are too enjoying Dandiya Raas this Navratri with a lot of enthusiasm. A Dandiya training workshop was organised by Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Bhopal for the children to learn and enjoy dandiya.

The training concluded with a spectacular performance. The students who learned the fun steps of dandiya presented their show at Central Hall, Jawahar Bal Bhavan.

Expert Jawahar Bal Bhavan Tripti Tripathi said, “We organise this event every year so that children could also learn about different festivals of the country. We endeavour to provide children with best knowledge of traditional dance, music and other forms of activities through organizing training programmes and workshops.”

Around 30 children participated in the four-day dandiya training and were trained by dance instructor Sanghmitra Taiwade. She taught children the different dance steps of dandiya and garba on traditional garba songs. They learned Krishna Leela, Holi and other forms.

The children performed on songs like ‘Tara Bin Shyam’, ‘Garba Mein Dhoom Machi’, ‘Chaalo Babu Bishna’ and ‘Pankhira O Pankhira’ leaving the audience mesmerized. The children from age group of 5-16 years performed on stage with lot of energy and zeal. The assistant director of Jawahar Bal Bhavan Sajan Singh was also present on the event to encourage the children.

The audiences were enthralled with the performance of the children and were awestruck to watch the tiny tots presenting such a wonderful programme before them. The energy of students added more life in the performance. The parents of the children and other audiences took the pleasure to enjoy the show with ecstasy.
