JCI gears up to host 24th Expo Utsav 2019

The 24 the edition of JCI Ranchi’s mega consumer trade fair ‘Expo Utsav 2019’ will be held from September 20 to September 24 at Morabadi Maidan. The fair will be inaugurated by the Director General of Police Kamal Nayan Chhaubey at 1 pm on September 20.

The visiting hours for the trade fair will be from 11 am to 9pm. For an entry fee of Rs. 10, the visitors will receive discount booklets from various establishments based in Ranchi.

At the Expo more than 250 stalls from India and abroad including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Afghanistan and Thailand will display an array of products. Items including furnishings, vehicles, electronics, kitchen ware, clothes and much more will be available under one roof. A total of 50 hoarding have been installed across the city where as information is also being provided through radio and cinema.

A competition called ‘the pride of Ranchi’ will be organised to honour the old businessmen of the city. Various other competitions will also be held like healthy baby show, top chef, dance competition, dog show, fancy dress, voice of Expo among others.

Interacting with the media on Wednesday, Expo Convener Nikhil Modi said that this time the trade fair will be bigger and better than before. “This year the centre of attraction will be an AC German hanger. There will also be a special hanger for Jharkhand tourism and a pink hanger espically for women entrepreneurs,” said Modi. Midnight bazaar, haat bazaar, food zone and an amusement park for children will be other attractions.

Co- convener Prateek said that the fair will be spread over an area of two lakh square feet. “To ensure maximum safety CCTV cameras will be installed everywhere while 125 security personnel will also be deployed. Many big brands like Maruti, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Nexa, Bajaj, Haldiram, Jindal, Hero Electric and many others will have their stalls,” said Prateek.

Chairman Rakesh Jain, secretary Saurabh Shah, Deepaak Aggarwal, Varun Jalan, Avikal Makara and others were present on the occasion.
