Jewellery worth Rs 2.5L stolen from house of Govt teacher

House of a Government School Teacher was targeted by miscreants and gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh was burgled from her house at Abhiruchi Parisar under Aishbagh police station area on Saturday.

The victim Pratibha Ahirwar had gone to her parents in Indore and when she returned on Saturday locks of the main gate were found broken and valuables were found burgled. After the incident victim approached the police and lodged a complaint stating that she had gone to Indore on August 14 and while her husband is in Delhi undergoing treatment. On her return she found that belongings were found lying on the floor and door of the almirah was found open.

The victim claimed that Rs 18000 cash and gold and silver jewelry over          Rs 2.25 lakh was burgled. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The domestic help and employees who work for the victim would be questioned in the further investigation which could help in nabbing the miscreants. Meanwhile house of a senior bank associate of SBI was targeted at N-4 D Sector under Piplani police station area and miscreants escaped with valuables over Rs 1 lakh on Saturday.The victim Pratibha Arya was at work in the day on Saturday and when she returned the house was found burgled.

In her complaint victim stated that Rs 10000 cash and gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 85000 were burgled. Police have registered case and started further investigation.
