JSPL celebrates Independence Day

The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) celebrated the 73rd Independence Day at its OP Jindal School campus here on Thursday. JSPL COO Pankaj Gautam unfurled the Tricolour and received guard of honour from the security personnel.

Gautam read out the message of JSPL chairman Naveen Jinal, where, Jindal has greeted everyone a Happy Independence Day and advised to remember the freedom fighters and the brave hearts who laid their life for our independence.

Gautam expressed his happiness as JSPL’s Angul unit has made several records by producing highest ever hot metal by any blast furnace in the country and record production made by SMS, plate mill and bar mill in recent past.

On the occasion security personnel were awarded for their bravery and achievements during the year.

Among others, Jindal Mahila Samiti president Pratibha Gautam, department heads, employees, family members, local community and staff members of the school and children were present.

The day was also celebrated at Shramik Vihar of JSPL, DAV Savitri Jindal High-School at Badamahitala (R and R Colony) of JSPL and OPJCC at Angul, where Asish Ranjan Mohanty, Bijayananda Swain and Soumeek Das hoisted the national flag in presence of other officials and students respectively.

The JSPL Bhubaneswar office also celebrated the day with hoisting of national flag by Executive VP Prashant Kumar Hota. A free drinking water distribution kiosk was inaugurated in front of the JSPL office.
