Karmachari Mahasangha stir on February 23

Monday, 18 February 2019 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

The Odisha Karmachari Mahasangha on Sunday demanded that the Government regularise all employees posted under outsourcing, contractual and DLR systems and Kendu Leaf employees before the election code of conduct comes into force or else thousands of employees would hold a demonstration here on February 23.

“Outsourcing, contractual and DLR employees have been working for the last 15 years on paltry salaries. Though the employees have organised peaceful demonstrations many times demanding regularization of jobs, the Government is yet to listen to the demands. The Government should lift all temporary systems of appointment and regularize all employees working on such posts,” demanded Mahasangha leader Prabhat Mohanty at a Press meet here. He said if the State Government further delays in fulfilling their demands, then all the employees will held a protest meeting at the Gandhi Marg here on February 23 and a memorandum would be submitted to the Chief Minsiter
