A man was thrashed to death allegedly by his relatives over a land dispute at Katapali village in Khaprakhol block of Balangir district on Wednesday.
The dispute had been prevailing between Panchanan Putel, the deceased, and his relatives. On Wednesday at around 7 am, Panchanan’s relatives attacked him with lathis, killing him on the spot.
Being informed, police reached the village with a scientific team and sniffer dogs and started investigation into the incident.
On the other hand, two of the accused, identified as Khyamanidhi and Prashant Putel, surrendered before police.
