While BJP MPs of the State on Monday urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to implement the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in the State, Health and Family Welafe Minister Naba Kishore Das said that the State Government would certainly examine various aspects of the scheme but only on receipt of a proposal from the Union Government.
“If the Centre gives proposal (for implementation of Ayushman Bharat), we will see if conditions of scheme match with our programme (Biju Swasthy Kalyan Yojana). We will implement the Central scheme on the order of the Chief Minister only,” the Minister said when asked to comment on the BJP MPs’ request to the CM on execution of the Government of India scheme.
