Following the recent appointment of Kondagaon MLA Mohan Markam as new PCC chief, a major organisational overhaul in the Chhattisgarh Congress is on the cards.
Talking to media persons here, the newly appointed PCC president said the process for restructuring the organization was on and with the suggestions of senior leaders of the party and with feedbacks being taken by secretary in-charge of the AICC for the state Dr Chandan Yadav a new setup would be finalized.
As per the instructions of our leader Rahul Gandhi more and more youth would be inducted in the organisational posts and adequate representation to women would be given as they comprise half of the population, he said.
Asserting that youth comprises more than 65% population of the nation, Markam said they were instrumental in deciding the direction and dimension of the country.
He further informed that efforts were on to declare the new organisational set up as soon as possible and the changes would be there right from the booth level and block level.
