Man’s body found after two day of rescue operation

A 26-year-old man’s body was fished out in the morning from Kolans River under Khajuri police station area on Friday after two days of rescue operation.

Police said that three teams searched for the deceased identified as Rajkumar Dohare who went missing during Ganesh idol immersion procession at Kolans River.

Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.

During the investigation police found that the deceased came at the culvert over the river and later went missing. The people with whom he came failed to spot him and after his family members started to search for him it was found that he fell in the river.

Rescue team started search for the body but failed on Friday to find and later in the day on Saturday body was found and fished out.

The deceased used to work as labour at brick kiln. Police are yet to find that the deceased fell accidentally or he was pushed into the river as the incident took place when the people came for immersion were busy in performing rituals.

Meanwhile three fishermen were rescued on Saturday from Khatlapura area of Lower Lake where 11 persons drowned in the wee hours on Friday.

The fishermen were fortunate that rescue team was deployed at the time of the incident which saved their lives.

The incident took place in the day when their boat capsized in which  the fishermen were fishing. Staff Reporter n Bhopal
