A man and his son, who are booked in a caste-related case, fled from the District & Sessions Judge Court here while hearing of their bail petition was underway on Tuesday.
Accused Das Khuntia and his son Anil of Saruali village under the Telkoi police station in the district had sought bail from the court in the case.
Later, police managed to nab Anil and took him into custody again.
Taking stringent action in the matter, the district SP suspended SI of Police Dusmant Singh and Constables Manorama Sethi, Sibani nayak and Renubala Mahanta for dereliction of duty.
