Man arrested for burglary, valuables worth Rs 1.5L seized

Baghsewania police have nabbed a miscreant who along with his three accomplices committed six burglaries in different police station areas in the past few months; police have recovered electronic goods and gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 1.5 from his possession and started search for accomplices of the accused in the crime.

According to the police, acting on a tip off regarding a youth roaming suspiciously was detained and when he was searched valuables were recovered from his possession.

The nabbed miscreant was identified as Acchu alias Tarun Solanki (20) of Idgah Hills area. In the initial investigation Acchu confessed that he along with Vinod Raghuvanshi, Sonu alias Rohit and Arun alias Harish have committed around half a dozen burglaries in different areas of the city.

Vinod is a habitual criminal and have been booked by Kolar and other police stations for burglary and other crimes.

Investigating Officer ASI Ramesh Singh said that the accused have availed gold loan on the burgled gold. The three have taken gold loan from two branches of Manapuram Gold Finance at Ashoka Garden and Katar Arcade while from one branch of IIFM at Ashoka Garden. Thirty grams of gold has been recovered from the three gold loan accounts.

Documents of Rohit were used to avail gold loan. The absconding accused persons are also habitual criminals and have been booked for burglaries and other crimes. The two of the accused used to recce while two would enter and collect valuables and four would escape with the valuables.
