Ashoka Garden police has nabbed a miscreant for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old B.Com student at Gupta Colony in the afternoon on Saturday.
Police said that the victim girl was alone when the accused Pankaj Kanodia came and sexually assaulted the victim.
The accused before leaving threatened her of life and escaped the spot.
The incident took place in the afternoon on Saturday. The accused who is acquainted with the family of the victim used to visit the house frequently.
The accused is friend of victim’s brother like figure in the same vicinity who she informed after the incident and along with him she lodged complaint with the Ashoka Garden police.
The accused works as a security guard in Industrial area.
Search for the accused has been started.
The victim hails from Sagar and lives in a rented room in Gupta Colony and pursuing B.Com and is first year student.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation police have registered case of sexual assault, threatening of life and SC-ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. Details of the accused are yet to be found.
