Berasia police on Sunday booked a man and registered a case for allegedly sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman near Idgah inside his car in the evening on Saturday; accused raped victim when she had gone at programme in the locality.
Police said that the accused Pankaj Valmik raped the victim inside her car when she had gone to answer nature’s call during a programme in Berasia.
Police said both the accused and victims live in the same locality. On Sunday victim along with her sister had gone to attend a musical programme and during the programme she went to answer nature’s call and where she meet the accused who asked to come inside his parked car and later raped her.
After committing the heinous crime the accused threatened her with dire consequence if the victim informed to her family and police about the incident. But the undaunted victim informed the incident to the family. The victim along with the family members lodged a complaint with the Berasia police.
The victim lives with her husband in Karond and came to meet her parents at Beraisi few days ago and when she went to the programme she faced atrocity. After the preliminary investigation a case under Section 376, 506 of the IPC.
The details of the accused are yet to be found. Police have started to search for the whereabouts of the accused who went absconding after the crime and is still missing.
