A 34-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his car and valuables worth Rs 11 lakh by three miscreants near Fanda toll plaza under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Friday.
According to the police, the victim Rajnish Tiwari was robbed by three miscreants whom he had given lift on his way to Indore in the evening on Friday.
The victim was rushed to hospital in where he was provided with treatment. The victim was attacked and got injuries over his face.
In his complaint victim stated that three miscreants asked for lift stating emergency and wanted to reach at the earliest and he provided lift. After crossing Fanda toll plaza they took sharp edged weapon assaulted him and robbed him of two mobile phones, one wrist watch and his car. He was later deserted and escaped the spot.
The total loss in the robbery is around Rs 11 lakh claimed the victim. The police have registered a case under section 394 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The victim is a resident of Bhopal and works for a construction company.
Police have intensified the search for the miscreants. The nearby areas of the spot would be searched and habitual criminals of the area would be quizzed during the investigation.
The miscreants entered the car at Halalpur bus stand and left with the valuables after Fanda toll plaza. The CCTV cameras of the area would be investigated which would help in finding the whereabouts of the accused.
