A man has coughed up a fine of Rs 25,000 after his minor son was caught by Regional Transport Office and police personnel driving a four-wheeler on Ring Road of Rayagada town.
Notably, under the new Motor Vehicles Act, guardians or vehicle owners shall be held guilty in case a juvenile drives a vehicle more than 50cc.
As per reports, the man’s 13-year-old son Sk Kafiruddin was driving a Santro vehicle along with another minor boy at a high speed. Locals immediately informed the RTO staffs and police about the speeding car.
After reaching the spot, the officials took the juvenile driver and the vehicle to the RTO office. Later, parents of the boy reached the RTO office and paid the fine.
