Panic prevailed at Khanugaon after a 33-year-man was shot at late in the night on Sunday. The frightened victim could not find out from where the bullet was fired.

According to the police, the bullet hit Sameer Hasan in his back. The victim came to know about the incident, after he spotted blood in his back. The victim was rushed to Hamidia hospital where his condition is out of danger.

Soon after the victim came to know about the bullet injury, he informed his brother Safi Hasan alias Golu who rushed to his help and admitted him at Hamidia hospital.

Safi later told the police that they have dispute over property with the notorious criminal Taufeeq Shooter and alleged that he might have opened fire at his brother.

The police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and started further investigation.

Meanwhile, Ashoka Garden police have arrested three accused who have attacked two youth at 80 ft road in the evening on Sunday.

Police have arrested Pappu alias Mandi, his brother Bablu and their friend Brijesh for attacking Shamim and his friend Raja when the victims have gone to Sabzi Mandi. Shamim was attacked in his head and sustained multiple injuries in the attack.

During the investigation police found that the victim and accused had old enmity and after Shamim was spotted by the accused they attacked with sharp edged weapon. Raja sustained injuries in his hands when he tried to save Shamim.

After the preliminary investigation police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and nabbed the three accused.
