The Manav Adhikar Surakshya Manch received the “Yuva Prerana Samman-2019” at a programme held in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. Manch Convenor Abani Kumar Gaya received the award. The Manch was honoured on the occasion of 150th year birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi for conducting continuous fights for people’s interest. Social scientist Prof Swadhinananda Patnaik inaugurated the programme.
Convenor Manas Patnaik, noted environmentalist Prafulla Samantara, journalist Sameer Patnaik, Lohia Academy secretary Deba Prasad Ray, columnist Dr Bishwajit graced as guests. They held discussions on topics based on Gandhian philosophy titled “Soul of India- How much in villages, how much in cities” and “India of Dream- My responsibility”.
Among others, Bijya Chandra Bisoyi, Kishore Chandra Patro, Majoj Tarai, Maguni Nahak, Ramesh Behera, Satyanarayan Rao, Sambasiva Rao, Sri Nivas and Nilachala Nanda were present.
