In its ongoing drive, the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) on Friday imposed Rs 22,000 penalty in total on five people for keeping construction material and debris on Rajpur Road.

Additionally, two more penalties were imposed where a total of eight trolleys of construction material and debris were seized from the construction sites.

According to the deputy municipal commissioner Rohitash Sharma, other than this the MCD will also check and impose penalties on those land owners and builders who are not providing toilet facilities on site for the labourers.

Earlier, a total fine of Rs 23,000 was imposed on 10 people on Thursday. Additionally, two trolleys of construction material and debris were seized.

Municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has once again requested the public to not place construction material and debris on the roads.

He also asked the public to inform the MCD if they see any kind of construction material on the main roads.
