Med college in Bhiwani to be named after freedom fighter Pt. Neki Ram Sharma: Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced to name the medical college in Bhiwani in the name of freedom fighter Pt. Neki Ram Sharma.

The Chief Minister made the announcement on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day and hoisted the National Flag at Bhim sports complex in Bhiwani.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also honoured freedom fighters and war widows with shawls. After the function, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various projects to the tune of over Rs 83.26 crore, in Bhiwani.

While comparing the working of all previous Governments  with the present Government since the inception of Haryana, the Chief Minister said that in the last over four years of the present Government, corruption has been curbed by making maximum use of information technology and youth are being given jobs on the basis of merit, in a transparent manner.

He said that in recently, declared results of Group D posts, out of total 18,218, over two thousand youth of Bhiwani district have been  selected.

The Chief Minister also said that he has been serving the people of the State by following the principle of Haryana Ek, Haryanavi Ek and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, without any kind of bias. Manohar Lal said that when the present Government came to power over four years ago, many challenges laid before us primarily being corruption.

He said that we have fulfilled our commitment to give jobs to the youth on the basis of merit and transparency. In a record time, fair recruitments have been conducted for 18,218 posts of Group 'D'.

More than 54,000 youth have been given Government jobs and the recruitment process for 17,000 posts is in progress, he said.

The Chief Minister said that 115 Antyodaya Sral and over 4,000 Atal Seva Kendra have been opened, where all services and information related to Government schemes are available under one roof. Haryana is the first State in the country, where one can get 485 schemes and services online through a single click through these centers.

About 600 schemes and services would become online by the end of February. In the last four years, 31 new laws have been formed to easily provide the benefits of schemes and services to the public, he added.

Manohar Lal further said that by equitable distribution of water, we have provided water to such tails of southern Haryana where water did not reach for the last three decades. The State’s power corporations have for the first time, come in profits and the line losses have reduced.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 7,954 houses have been constructed in rural areas and construction of 10,758 houses are under construction. About 600 colonies have been regularized and Rs 1,000 crore have been released for their development, the Chief Minister said.

He added, in 48 years of previous Governments, only 31 girls colleges were opened in the State, whereas our Government opened 29 new colleges in four years.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated four projects from the Bhim Sports complex. He also laid the foundation stone of nine projects.
