Centre will be urged to withdraw GST for branding of silk, handicraft and handloom products of the State. Arrangement will be made to give freight grant to entrepreneurs for the sale of products outside the state. Rural Development Department has been urged for establishment of haat at district headquarters on the lines of Bhopal haat.
This was informed by the Cottage and Rural Industries Minister Yadav. He further informed that the Cottage and Rural Industries Department has started taking action according to the manifesto-2018.
Minister Yadav told that the Forest Department has been urged to provide facility of government forests for the production of ‘laakh’ and provide 500 bamboos free of cost annually for cottage industries based on forest produce based on family lineage.
Similarly the Minerals Department has been urged to make simple arrangement for stone mining for sculptural art and permission for clay mining for clay based cottage industries without royalty.
Orders have been issued to start arrangements for government purchase and concession in selling price of Khadi products. Directives have also been given to provide basic facilities and encourage production through women self-help groups.
Minister Yadav told that the Cottage and Rural Industries Department has also issued necessary instructions to ensure adherence to the points of the manifesto within 100 days.
