Min Prahlad Patel’s son booked for attacking youth

The police have registered a case against Prabal Patel, son of Union Minister Prahlad Patel, his cousin and others on the charge of attacking on two youths in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

The victims in the complaint lodged with police claimed that that Prabal and Monu thrashed them following a dispute and also beat them up taking them elsewhere.

The police have registered a case of murderous assault against Prabal, Monu and ten of their associates.

The accused were on the run till the filing of the report.

Monu Patel is the son of former BJP minister and the brother of union minister Prahlad Singh Patel’s brother Jalam Singh Patel.

An officer from Narsinghpur police said that two persons Himanshu Rathore and Rahul Rajput were on their way to a marriage on Monday night when they entered into a feud with Prabal Patel in Balhai bazaar. Afterwards Prabal and his friends took both the men to their friend Shivam Rai’s home and beat them up.

Shivam’s father Ishwar Rai, a home guard also was injured in the attack as he tried to separate the fighting youths.

The victim in the complaint alleged that during fight, Prabal also fired a shot which hit Himanchu Rathore in the hand.

The union minister’s son also allegedly fired on Shivam Rai but he saved himself. Some other persons also sustained injuries during the scuffle.

The police have lodged a case against Prabal Patel, Monu Patel and ten others on the complaint of Himanshu Rathore on charges of attempt to murder and other relevant sections of the IPC.
