State Planning and Coordination, Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera reviewed works of various departments here on Thursday.
Behera while going through the details of funds given for development works in the district from the District Mineral Fund (DMF), directed the departmental officers to be more careful for successful implementation of the development projects in the district.
Sources said that out of a total Rs 1,124.76 crore sanctioned from DMF for various welfare projects, only Rs 202.17 crore has been spent till date. Particularly, the Minister was satisfied with the priority given for education, health, agriculture and drinking water projects in the district.
The district Collector was advised to regularly review the progress of the projects by convening meetings of the DMF. Collector Saroj Kumar Samal alongwith the Principal Secretary of the Minister, Deputy Collector Almani Sethy, District Planning and Coordination Deputy Director Sarat Kumar Nayak, Assistant Director Dusasan Nayak and Project Supervisory Unit team leader Nalini Kumar Das were present.
