Miscreants posing as patients looted cash and jewelleries from the house of a doctor in Nabarangpur district. The incident took place at around 11.30 pm on Friday at Indravati town.
According to reports, two miscreants on the plea that they were patients entered into the residence of Dr Pradipta Kumar Praharaj, who is posted at the Indravati Government Hospital. Along with them, two others covering their faces also barged into the house and looted cash of Rs 40,000 cash, gold ornaments weighing around 55 grams and four mobile phones at gunpoint and knifepoint.
A complaint in this connection was filed at the Indravati police station on Saturday morning.
