Miscreants targeted a bank official and stole her mobile phone worth Rs 20000 on the Punjab National Bank promises under Bairagarh police station on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victim Monica Aswani was in her branch and kept her mobile phone over her work place which was stolen by miscreants.
Police said that the victim had gone for some in the branch and when she returned the mobile phone was stolen. The victim searched for the mobile phone but failed to find it and later approached the police to lodge complaint.
The police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Police suspects that the victim was tracked and later when the victim left her work place the miscreants escaped with the mobile phone.
In the initial investigation police have started to check the footages of CCTV of the bank which would help in establishing the identity of the accused. The victim works with Punjab National Bank and is posted at Bairagarh branch and her mobile phone was stolen while at work.
Meanwhile, agriculture equipments worth Rs 25000 were stolen from a farm house under Ratibad police station area on Wednesday. The victim Rakesh Singh lodged complaint after he found that water motor pump and other equipments were stolen from his farm. Police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and started investigation.
