Mishra principal secretary to PM

Odisha-born bureaucrat Pramod Kumar Mishra today took charge as the principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is the first Odia to hold the post.

He was earlier serving as the additional principal secretary to the Prime Minister. Recently, Nripendra Misra had stepped down as the principal secretary to the Prime Minister.

 Notably, P.K. Mishra served as principal secretary to Modi between 2001 and 2004 during the latter’s tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
