The Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Brajarajnagar BJP MLA Radharani Panda was reportedly attacked by a group of people at a polling booth in Jharsuguda district on Thursday during the second-phase elections.
Radhe Kisan, the PSO, had gone with the MLA to booth nos. 182 and 183 in Ganganagar of the Brajarajnagar Assembly constituency when he was attacked at around 12.30 pm. Kisan sustained injuries on his head.
MLA Panda, who is the BJP MLA candidate for seat this time too, alleged involvement of BJD workers in the attack. Till last reports came in, no police complaint had been lodged in this regard.
