MLAs meet CM regarding shops facing demolition

Wednesday, 16 October 2019 | PNS | Dehradun

As seen during the previous anti-encroachment drive in Dehradun, MLAs have once again come out in support of shopkeepers liable to face action for encroachment. A delegation of BJP MLAs led by Cantt MLA Harbans Kapoor met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat to seek relief for the shop owners.

The delegation told the CM about members of the business fraternity protesting against the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA). The owners of shops to be affected by demolition are protesting against MDDA.

The MLAs said that the shop owners are ready to get the constructions compounded but are not being given time by the authority.

The CM assured the MLAs and stated that the businessmen should be made aware regarding compounding.

He also directed the officials concerned to find a solution to the problem. Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi and Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das were also part of the delegation.
