Moderate fog likely in some plains of U’khand

The sky remained cloudy for most parts of the day in Dehradun on Sunday, though it did not rain. The State Meteorological Centre has  forecast a dry climate in Uttarakhand on Monday.  However, the centre has issued a yellow-coded warning of moderate fog likely to envelop  some parts of the plain areas on the day. The places specially marked for fog formation are in those in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts . As per the Met officers, moderate fog is likely to form in several places of these two districts during the early morning hours on February 11 and 12.

The sky is going to be mainly clear, though it might partly cloudy for some time across the State on Monday. However, the climate would remain mainly dry in Uttarakhand on the day.

In Dehradun too, the sky is  likely to remain partly cloudy  to mainly clear on the day with little likelihood of rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 22 degree Celsius and 7 degree Celsius respectively.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various towns of the State on Sunday were 20.7 degree Celsius and 7.4 degree Celsius in Dehradun, 22.0 degree Celsius and 6.5 degree Celsius in Pantnagar, 12.6 degree Celsius and 0.8 degree Celsius in Mukteshwar and 13.0 degree Celsius and 2.4 degree Celsius in New Tehri.
