After addressing rallies at five places in Uttar Pradesh in the last fortnight, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has plans to address six more election meeting the state this month, beside his two-day stay in Varanasi from April 25.
Modi will file his nomination from Varanasi on April 26.
As per BJP sources, Modi will address rallies at Etah and Bareilly on April 20 and Banda in Bundelkhand on April 25.
From Banda, Modi will fly to Varanasi.
On April 27, the Prime Minister will address three poll meetings — at Hardoi, Kannauj and Sitapur.
SP president Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav is contesting the election from Kannauj.
Modi will hold a roadshow in Varanasi on April 25 and the next day, he will file his nomination papers.
Unconfirmed reports said that he could also hold a roadshow before filing papers on April 26.
Modi has already addressed five poll meetings in UP so far, in Meerut, Amroha, Saharanpur, Aligarh and Moradabad.
Senior BJP leader Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that there was a huge demand for the Prime Minister’s rally but all demands could not be met.
“Efforts are being made to ensure that the Prime Minister addresses one rally in each division,” he said.
