Tuesday, 16 April 2019 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two ‘Vijay Sankalp” rallies for the BJP candidates at Korba and Bhatapara on Tuesday during a day-long visit to Chhattisgarh.

Party sources said, Modi would arrive at Korba to address an election rally at 1pm while in Bhatapara he would address the meeting at 3.00 pm.

BJP candidates of Korba, Surguja and Raigarh parliamentary constituencies will be present at Korba while in Bhatapara, the party candidates of Raipur, Janjgir-Champa and Bilaspur seats will accompany Modi.

BJP national general secretary and Chhattisgarh in-charge Anil Jain, national vice president and former Chief Minister Raman Singh, national general secretary Saroj Pandey among other State-level party office bearers will also be present in the two election rallies.

On Sunday, the Bahujan Samaj Party and Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) had organised a joint public meeting at nearby parliamentary constituency of Janjgir. All the 11 BSP candidates were present there.

The BJP has dropped its all 10-sitting MPs and put all new faces in this election battle. The party is entirely banking on Modi to stop Congress resurgence in Chhattisgarh in general elections.
