Voters in this militancy affected area came out in large number, defying the Naxal threat, to vote.

On April 4, in gunfire four District Reserve Guard (DRG) Jawans were killed in the insurgency-hit Mohla village. With high turnout, even though there was Maoist dictate to boycott the polls, the villagers gave a befitting reply to the ultras. Voting was conducted peacefully here where the Maoists had always shown their presence.
