The trailer and music of feature film ‘Biju Babu’ was released at the Maharaja Theatre on Monday.

It is acclaimed movie director Dr Nila Madhab Panda’s first feature film in Odia. “Biju Babu was awarded the ‘Bintang Jasa Utama’ (Son of the soil), the highest national award of Indonesia. I want to take this movie to an international platform. The movie will let us know Bijubabu and his philosophies more closely, and I’m sure it will attract audiences from all age groups and will surely turn out to be a great dose of entertainment for everyone,” said Panda.

The music for the film has been creatively designed by renowned music director Prem Anand. Top Ollywood singers like Human Sagar, Ananya SritamNanda, Diptirekha, Ashutosh Mohanty and others have given their voice to the songs.

According to the debutante director duo Devi Prasad Lenka and Vishal Mourya, the film has an absolutely commercial format with four fantastic songs, lots of drama, action, romance and comedy. However, it's not a biopic on Biju Patnaik. The film that embodies the ideology, spirit, and charisma of the great leader, is all set to create history in Ollywood.

The lead actor of the film superstar Anubhav Mohanty, said, “I’m feeling really proud that for the very first time in Odisha, a film is being made on a great personality, that too on our very own Bijubabu and I have been chosen to play the lead in it.”

“What an amazing experience it was to work in this film ‘Biju Babu,” said lead actress Supriya Nayak.
