Once again, after a gap of around 10 days, the Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Chhattisgarh would witness wet spells starting from February 6 which would go on up till February 7.
Notably, the recent rains were witnessed in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from January 23 to 26 due to the Western Disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation which was quite strong in nature.
Ironically, only the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh witnessed rains in the last spell. Now, another Western Disturbance is likely to approach and it is an induced Cyclonic Circulation that would be over Rajasthan which would gradually shift eastward. A trough will extend from this induced Cyclonic Circulation to northeast Madhya Pradesh and north-east Chhattisgarh. Hence, once again bringing rains over eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh tagging along Chhattisgarh.Till date, Madhya Pradesh has been rain deficient by 65 per cent whereas Chhattisgarh is rain surplus by 29 per cent. Isolated light rain is a possibility over Gwalior and its adjoining areas.
Light rains will be seen over Satna, Rewa and Umaria.
The intensity is expected to go up by February 7 and more rains will be seen over Rewa, Satna, Siddhi, Umaria and Katni on this particular date.
Places like Balrampur, Ambikapur, Raigarh, Raipur and Durg would witness light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells on February 7 and 8.
By February 9, weather would start clearing up.
The rain deficiency in Madhya Pradesh would not witness any significant change whereas in Chhattisgarh the surplus value might see an uprising trend.
