MP bags 3 bronzes at Nat’l Fencing C’ship

At 27th National Fencing Championship Punjab, SSCB, Manipur and Haryana won gold medals on the final day of the championship . Madhya Pradesh bagged three bronze medals. Punjab, Maharashtra and Manipur won 2–2 gold medals in the championship.

Maharashtra won the boys and Manipur won the girls' overall championship.

In the championship played at Tatya Tope Stadium, Maharashtra finished first in the boys category with 23 points. SSCB (18) stood second and Chhattisgarh (15) stood third with points. Manipur topped the girls category with 24. Punjab (21) came second and Kerala (20) came third.

On the final day of the championship, the EP girls team Punjab won the gold, Kerala won the silver, Chandigarh and Madhya Pradesh. Won bronze medals. In the boys team event of this competition, SSCB won gold, Chhattisgarh won silver and Manipur and Haryana won bronze.

Girls team Manipur won gold, Kerala won silver and Gujarat and Tamil Nadu won bronze. The boys Sabar team Haryana won the gold, Maharashtra won the silver and SSCB and Punjab won the bronze.

Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister P.C. Sharma said that all the necessary facilities including better training, sports ground and sports equipment will be provided to the players of the state. The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to a bright future for the players.

He was addressing the award ceremony at the concluding season of the 27th Junior National Fencing Championship at TT Nagar Stadium.

Minister Sharma said that he is happy that the players participated enthusiastically in the Junior National Fencing Championship held in the capital Bhopal. He congratulated and congratulated all the players.

Director Sports and Youth Welfare S. L. Thoussen congratulated the players and appreciated the performance of the players in the National Junior Fencing Championship.

On this occasion, General Secretary of Fencing Association of India,  Bashir Ahmed, Treasurer Ashok Dudhare, Founder Member of FFI, KB Aggarwal, Joint Director Sports Vinod Pradhan and B.R.S Yadav and other officials, sports coaches, official and large number of players were present.
