MP Cabinet Ok’s constitution of Dierectorate of IT, Cadre

The State Cabinet, which met at Jabalpur on Saturday Nath approved the constitution of Directorate of Information Technology and its Cadre. The round the clock operating Women Helpline 181 Scheme aiming at ensuring assistance to women during emergency situations was also approved.

The Cabinet also gave approval for continuing the Centre of Excellence - Project E Mission. The Project E-Mission will continue upto 2019–20. The Cabinet also sanctioned Rs 1.07 crore for filling 27 posts for operation of Women helpline Centres through outsourcing. The Women Helpline 181 will be linked to all emergency services, one-stop centres and other helplines.

The Women Helpline number 181 could be reached using telecommunication means or medium like, post-prepaid mobile, landline, private/public network, GSM, CDMA, 3-G, 4-G. Thorough these Helpline Centres, the women  in crisis could get help through phone. They can also get details about government schemes.

The Cabinet also approved a policy 2019 for providing wire line and wireless based voice and data services by telecommunication services, internet services infrastructure suppliers. The proposed amendments in the Madhya Pradesh Nagar Palika Rules 2012 regarding installation of mobile towers in urban areas were also approved.

The meeting also approved a proposal for filling up 76 posts at Chief Electoral Officer, 408 posts at District Electoral Offices and 1150 posts for Returning Officer's offices. Thus 1634 posts will be filled either through deputation or outsourcing or by promotion. These posts will be created for March 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The Cabinet also approved the proposal to declare Joint Resident Commissioner, Mumbai as the Head of Office and Drawing Disbursing Officer.

The Cabinet members paid tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Jammu Kashmir terror-attack. One of them Ashvani Kachhi belonged to Jabalpur. Two- minute silence was observed to pray for the peace of departed souls.
