On the occasion of the completion of the 75th anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi, the Department of Higher Education will observe Yuva Sankalp Varsh from August 20, 2019 to May 21, 2020, his death anniversary day. The celebration will begin from August 20, the state-level Sadbhavana Divas.
Yuva Samvad programme will be held at 10 am in Ravindra Bhavan on August 20 with Chief Minister Kamal Nath as the chief guest. In the programme, the Chief Minister will answer the questions of the university and college students. It will be telecast live in all 1400 colleges and universities in the state.
A ‘Sadbhavna’ race will be organized in all the districts of the state on the occasion of Sadbhavna Divas by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare. The race will start from the TT Nagar Stadium, Bhopal at 6 am. Sadbhavana March will start from Ravindra Bhavan at 12:15 pm and will end at Lal Parade Ground.
Nath will inaugurate a photo exhibition based on Late Rajiv Gandhi’s life during the Sadbhavna Divas programme. A Picture book based on the life of Late Rajiv Gandhi will also be dedicated on this day.
During the Yuva Sankalp Varsh, various competitions including speech, poster, essay, poetry, folk dance, discussion and quiz will be held in all the colleges and universities. Apart from this, national level seminar will be organized on the subjects of Panchayati Raj, Information Technology, Women Empowerment etc.
