The players of Madhya Pradesh exhibited an impressive performance in the 22nd Sub-Junior and Inter-State Challenger National Rowing Competition.
The championship was held in Pune Maharashtra from June 7 to 12. The Madhya Pradesh players performed brilliantly, winning the title of Overall Champion with 8 gold medals including five gold one silver and two bronze medals. Also the team win the title of champions in the competition.
The players of the State Water Sports Rowing Academy have been admirably contributing. The players of the academy gave a total of six medals, including three gold, one silver and two bronze, to Madhya Pradesh. Expressing happiness over this achievement, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jitu Patwari congratulated all the players who got medals for Madhya Pradesh, encouraging them to win medals by performing well in the upcoming competitions.
Medal winners meet the Sports Director The medal winners of the championships reached the TT Nagar stadium on Thursday and met the Sports Director and Youth Welfare Director SL Thoussen. He appreciated the team for the achievements made in the championship. Game Director Dr. Thoussen discussed the players with their performances and events and got the necessary information. He congratulated the performance of all the players who medals in the sub-junior national rowing championship and congratulated them.
In the 22nd Sub-Junior National Rowing Championship, Academy's player Prabhakar Rajawat presented the gold medal to Madhya Pradesh in the boys' singles competition. Yogesh Thakur and Gopal Thakur pair won gold medal in Caxless Payer event. Academy's player Golu Sharma, Chotu Nath, Ravi Rajput and Anurag Kaurav's Chekdi earned Silver Medal in Sub-Junior Caxless-4 event. Similarly, in the Single Skal Event of Challenger Sprint National Competition, Odisha Bharti earned gold, Chandni Yadav and Pratyusha Jain and Jyoti Kushwaha and Savita Dangi won each bronze medal. The said players participated in National Competition under the leadership of Captain Dalbir Singh, Chief Instructor of the Rooney Academy.
